Summer Baseball Development Camps

Hello parents and athletes! This is Hilo and Luciano, Head of Player Development, reaching out and inviting you to join our summer development clinics hosted by VCB. Our goal, as two UBC varsity players, looks to bring knowledge and experience to the younger generation with a youthful and energetic coaching style. Going into our third year running the clinics, we are thrilled to welcome new and returning athletes for a week of intense, detailed, and high level training.

As for a brief summary of the camp, it will involve all aspects of on-field performance - Hitting, Pitching, INF/OF, base running and more. We look forward to working with all the athletes and to accommodate all skill levels and assist their journey on reaching their goals.

Prior to the camps, strength and conditioning sessions, as well as on-field, and hitting sessions are available in both private and group settings. For more information and inquiries regarding extra training, please reach out to:

About the Coaches

Luciano Letteri

Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Kinesiology at UBC, specializing in sports performance. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to previously play for, and now currently work with the UBC Varsity Baseball program. Throughout the years, I've had the privilege of working with numerous collegiate athletes, guiding them both on-field and in the weight room. These experiences have allowed me to see first-hand the immense benefits proper training can bring to the development of baseball players. Moreover, it's provided me the opportunity to enhance my coaching skills and grasp a deep understanding of the prerequisites needed for developing elite athletes.

Hilo Yamamoto

As an active member of the Varsity team at UBC, my goal is to develop young athletes and share my extensive knowledge and experience with both parents and athletes who are invested in taking their game to the next level. I am extremely excited and honoured to host our third year of summer camps for VCB and look forward to working with returning and new talent and hope to assist their journey on reaching their goals. Along with the drills and exercise we partake at the collegiate level, I hope to bring the experience and knowledge from both playing and coaching in Japan as well. As a utility infielder, I will be working with all of the infield and majority of the defensive work we will do throughout this camp.
